What you can expect

Embark on a full-day self-guided wineries tour with a pick-up from central Queenstown. After a scenic transfer to Arrowtown, you'll receive information on mountain bike fitting, navigation tips, and details about wineries. Explore Arrowtown's charming cafés or start your morning ride right away on your bike.

The tour includes a quality mountain bike, helmet, equipment hire, and a map of all trails and wineries. You'll have exclusive offers at wineries, cheeseries, and taverns, with wine tastings available at additional cost.

Visit up to 6 wineries, a cheesery, and a brewery. Explore Arrowtown, Gibbston, Kawarau Bungy Bridge, and stunning scenery. Enjoy the freedom to explore at your own pace on quality bikes.

Please note that participants must be 18 years or older to consume alcohol, and a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.

Itinerary
  • Departure from Queenstown - 9:30 am sharp
  • Shuttle to Arrowtown + navigation and briefing 30 – 40 min
  • Ride 15 km along the stunning bike trail to the first winery! 1 – 2 hours
  • Spend time exploring the venues of Gibbston Valley. We’ll pick you up from your venue of choice. 3 – 5.5 hours (depending on your pace and how long you spend exploring Arrowtown; you get to choose where to spend your time!)
  • Shuttle transport back to Queenstown, departing at 4:30 pm sharp - 30 – 45 min
Time
  • Summer: 1 September - 30 April departs 9 am and returns 5 pm
  • Winter: 1 May - 31 August departs 10 am returns 4.30 pm

  • This experience departs from shop 4/3 Searle Lane, Queenstown
  • Local pick up is included from central Queenstown accommodation

  • Please check in 10 minutes prior to your departure time.
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older to consume alcohol
  • Sturdy shoes are recommended
  • Leggings, tights or shorts with a lightweight water/windproof jacket is recommended
  • A reasonable level of fitness is recommended for this experience
  • Heights must be supplied at time of booking
  • Numbers vary you may be riding with anything from 1 to 10 other riders
  • Not available on Christmas Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Anzac Day
