What you can expect

The famous Fiordland region stands as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its pristine alpine lakes, thundering waterfalls, imposing glaciers, majestic fjords, and rugged mountains. Offering an immersive experience, the journey encompasses three breathtaking landings: an alpine lake, glacier, and the stunning Earnslaw Burn.

The adventure commences from Queenstown, soaring over Ben Lomond and the Richardson Mountains, traversing the rustic Glenorchy village, and ascending into the alpine heights to behold the picturesque Lake Erskine.

Next on the itinerary is the awe-inspiring source of the formidable Sutherland Falls. Fed by Lake Quill, this colossal waterfall plunges an impressive 580 meters (1,900 feet) with a resounding roar.

As the allure of Milford Sound beckons, the route veers towards the rugged West Coast, gliding past the iconic Mitre Peak and ascending towards Mt Tutoko, Fiordland's loftiest summit, before looping back to land at the ethereal Earnslaw Burn.

With a looming glacier overhead and cascading waterfalls enveloping the surroundings, the Earnslaw Burn presents an enchanting spectacle. Even in winter, when numerous waterfalls freeze, the glacier gleams with pristine snowfall, casting a magical ambiance.

This marks the final destination before the return journey, offering a scenic passage over the historic gold mining sites of Skippers Canyon.
