Reconnect with nature and explore the Perth waterways by kayak with hire available from multiple locations including Canning River, Swan River or Shoalwater Bay. Soak in the sun and the scenery and explore the city’s secluded waterways, wetlands and rivers at your own pace. You’ll be provided with double kayaks, paddles, life jackets and safety instruction if you’re a beginner or in need of a refresher lesson.   • Kayak hire at Canning River and Swan River: 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm
  • Kayak hire at Shoalwater Bay: 9am-3pm
Duration
  • Kayak hire at Canning River and Swan River is three hours in duration
  • Kayak hire at Shoalwater Bay is five hours in duration
Departure Location
  • Canning River: Kent Street Weir Park, Wilson. Swan River: Mandoon Estate, Caversham.
  • Shoalwater Bay: corner Arcadia Drive and Gloucester Avenue
  • When you book the provider will email you a map of the pick up location
What To Bring
  • Shorts, footwear you don’t mind getting wet, towel, hat, sunscreen, strap for glasses, and a change of clothes for after
  • Dress for the weather and assume you will get a bit wet from the paddles
  • Bring something to drink, and there is time for a snack if you want to bring something to eat
  • If your camera is not waterproof a dry bag is recommended
Additional Information
  • Your paddling session must fit in with the provider's tour destinations and times. Please note: these sessions are only available when a tour is running that day. Canning River and Swan River sessions are only available on the weekend. Note: Shoalwater Bay option is recommended for more experienced paddlers (wind and waves are likely)
  • For beginners we recommend booking onto the guided tours or the Canning river which is very calm
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
