What you can expect

Set off on an unforgettable full-day adventure that delves deep into the rich heritage of the Gumbaynggirr people, guided by the descendants of the world's first stand-up paddlers. This exceptional experience combines thrilling aquatic activities with meaningful cultural immersion.

Your journey takes place on the sacred lands of the Gumbaynggirr tribal nation, led by either Gumbaynggirr individuals or Aboriginal guides with deep ancestral connections to this revered country. The day begins with a serene paddle across clear waters on a stand-up paddleboard, followed by a cultural walking tour where the landscape is brought to life through Dreamtime stories and traditional knowledge. As the day unfolds, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the Gumbaynggirr people's profound connection to their environment, exploring bush foods, medicinal plants, and sustainable practices that have been passed down through generations.
