Time
  • Please allow 90 minutes to two hours for the whole experience
  • Please arrive 30-minutes before departure
  • Available daily at 10AM and 1PM, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing day and New Years day
Departure Location
  • This experience is located and departs from the Waimak River Riding Centre, 219 Coutts Island Road, Coutts Island, Christchurch NZ 7670. It can be reached via car, taxi or bus (walk from the bus to location is 20 minutes).
What To Bring
  • Please wear comfortable long trousers (shorts and three-quarter pants are not recommended), sturdy covered in shoes and other clothing suitable for the conditions.
Additional Information
  • There are no fees for participant changes.
  • For the safety of our clients we prefer not having people on our trails.
  • If the provider feels that the weather will compromise the safety of the trek, they will contact you and reschedule.
Terms And Conditions
  • Please advise your weight and riding ability upon booking so a suitable horse can be allocated
  • Weight limit is 95 kg
  • The minimum age is 10 years
  • Younger children allowed but will be walked or led
  • Parking outside the entrance gate
  • All participants are required to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure time to allow for paper work, helmet fitting and a safety demonstration
  • Late arrivals may compromise the safety of the ride and therefore may be excluded
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
