As a respected elder in Byron Shire, Delta carries forward the Arakwal traditions, customs, and stories that have been handed down through generations from her ancestors who have long inhabited the Byron Bay region.

Mindy Woods, a proud Bundjalung woman from the Widjabul Wia-bul clan, has realized her dream by opening ‘Karkalla’ in Byron Bay. This venue celebrates Mindy’s Bundjalung heritage by showcasing seasonal local produce and native Indigenous ingredients, offering a unique culinary experience deeply connected to her cultural roots.
