Uncover the secret life of Motutapu Island – just a 45 minute cruise from central Auckland.
Learn about the prolific history of this peaceful island as you explore on foot - from the original inhabitants Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki, the history and relics of its past life as a WWII base. Experience the regenerating forest and reintroduced native species on the island sanctuary following the world’s largest island pest eradication programme.
