What you can expect

In the stillness of the night, discover an incredible astronomy experience at River Murry Dark Sky Reserve. After a drive to the meeting point, follow the path to the Murray River clifftop where you’ll be greeted by breathtaking views of the vast farming district. With virtually no light pollution, use red torch lights to make your way around the vantage point overlooking ancient cliffs. Join a captivating stargazing journey, led by an astronomer, as powerful telescopes reveal the wonders of constellations, planets, clusters and galaxies. Under the expansive night sky, you’ll view an estimated 5000 stars, compared to just 300 in Southern Hemisphere urban areas where even the smallest stars glow brightly.
